Meteorshowers & Witchcraft

This week marks the peak of the most anticipated meteorshowers of the year, the Perseids. They seem to originate from the constellation, Perseus. In case it is not obvious, that's how these phenomena are named. Another spectacular showing of meteorshowers comes again in November with the Leonids originating from the constellation, Leo.

How do these relate to witchcraft? Well, meteors are the true name of “shooting stars”. The stars we see are just like our Sun. They are a part of galaxies and burn out and become black holes. They never streak across the sky. That's what meteors do. So, they are what we wish on. So, from today until next week, it is prime time for wishes & spells, especially if you see one.

My special takeaway that I can give you for seeing fireballs & the 30+ per hour viewing that people talk about is go some place dark. Here is a great map to help you:

Please go out and enjoy this special time of year & wish upon a star! Re-ignite the magic inside you. Your inner child will thank you.
